Job Description

LocumJobs Recruit is looking for a General Practitioner to provide locum cover at a busy GP practice in Daventry.

A commercial, well-organised booking for GPs who want dependable sessions, efficient workflows and a team that keeps clinics running smoothly. Expect a sensible mix of on-the-day demand and routine reviews with strong admin wraparound.

Up to 4 days a week available with flexibility around sessions and start dates.

A consistent GP opportunity designed for repeat bookings.

Role Snapshot
• Locum GP clinics with a mix of same-day and routine appointments
• Efficient practice systems with clear processes for referrals and results

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, patient-centred consultations across acute and chronic presentations
• Manage and review long-term conditions in line with local guidance
• Prescribe and deprescribe appropriately with clear documentation
• Request and interpret investigations and action results in a timely manner
• Complete referrals and fit notes with appropriate safety-netting
• Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team to support demand management

Requirements
• GMC registered with a licence to practise
• On the GP Register with suitable UK primary care experience
• Up-to-date appraisal and revalidation readiness
• Current indemnity and familiarity with UK clinical systems
• Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK

Working Pattern
• Locum sessions available up to 4 days per week
• Flexible pattern available including ongoing work or short-term cover
• Session allocation agreed in advance where possible
